Hundreds of local and professional athletes worldwide have used ARPwave technology along with the “In-Balance” technique for injury prevention, accelerated recovery, and improved performance. ARPwave is a patented, FDA approved method for working with various types of soft tissue injuries. ARPwave finds the origin of the pain, treats it and rapidly eliminates the symptoms for real results – fast. Typically the pain symptoms are reduced about 25% after one ARP treatment.
The “In Balance” technique is a blend of applied kinesiology and functional neurology that highlights the “disconnects” in how the nervous system is communicating with the muscles. Slow or weak communication will cause the muscles to respond late and with less strength.
Once these “disconnects” are stabilized (think of gapping a spark plug properly) the absorption and transfer of force is maximized. Along with the ARP protocols compensation patterns can now be eliminated, increased circulation optimized healing, overall strength and stability increase and recovery time is greatly shortened.
The ARPwave machine can also permeate scar tissue, increase the circulation in the area, and flush the toxins from inflammation and scar tissue out of the body.
After achieving unparalleled results with my personal injuries as well as my family’s I decided that this was my “missing link.” After years of various therapies and unacceptable results I had finally found what worked. The proof is in the results reported from friends, family, and clients!!
Mary began her massage therapy career in Cannon Falls, MN. A much welcome career change after several years as a Flight Attendant for Northwest Airlines (Delta). Mary received massage to alleviate the wear and tear of lifting luggage, sleeping on bad mattresses and pushing and pulling carts at 40,000 feet altitude. Mary believes massage therapy was the magic ingredient responsible for keeping the mind and body going during that stressful lifestyle and she greatly benefitted from the healing power. Mary also was a new mother and didn’t like traveling with a baby girl at home. She enrolled at Sister Rosalind Gefre’s School of Professional Massage. Mary also has B.A. from the University of Minnesota Business Communications.
Now more than 10 years later Mary is enjoying giving massage therapy to many people of all ages. She is fluent in Swedish, trigger point, deep tissue, sports massage and pre-natal massage therapy. Mary’s clients appreciate her firm, strong touch and her specific knowledge of anatomy. At every opportunity, she encourages self-care.
In addition to massage, Mary enjoys taking care of and riding her horses with her daughter. They also ski and enjoy many outdoor activities.
The human body should be treated like our favorite car, which requires fuel and oil changes to prevent it from breaking down. Massage is like a fuel and oil change, providing energy and lubrication for muscles, joints, etc.
A scientific explanation of SHIATSU is that it calms an overactive sympathetic nervous system, which improves circulation, relieves stiff muscles, and alleviates stress. Shiatsu is a form of therapeutic bodywork from Japan. It uses kneading, pressing, soothing, tapping and stretching techniques and is performed without oils, through light comfortable clothing. The word shiatsu means “finger pressure,” and shiatsu is sometimes described as a finger pressure massage. Like acupuncture, Shiatsu is based on Chinese medicine, which uses meridians of the body. Meridians are pathways within the body along which vital energy flows.
Clinical styles of massage differ from relaxation styles because they focus on therapeutic goals (for example releasing muscle spasms or strengthening and stretching specific muscles affected by an injury.) They use more specific manipulation of the muscle and/or surrounding connective tissue and may address other systems in the body such as the lymphatic, circulatory, and nervous systems.
As the best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. But Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.
I’m a Cranial Sacral Therapist with focus on Myofacial Unwinding and body balancing. I’ve been a dental hygienist for 33 years. Nine years ago, I became employed as a dental hygienist in a holistic dental practice. I’ve met many alternative health care providers and they’ve guided me to a new level of health for myself and family. I’m excited to be a part of this amazing group of Alternative Health Care Providers. Through our journey, I know that it isn’t about just one caregiver with one answer. It’s about a “Health Care Team” and it can take many different modalities to achieve our desired outcomes. I’m very excited to be a part of the Health Solutions Center and I look forward to helping all of you on your journey.
The Cranial Sacral Fluid bathes your spinal cord and brain from deep within your skull to your tailbone. Facia is a plastic wrap like film that covers everything in your body; every bone, organ and muscle. This is one continuous piece. If any of this facia has had an injury, repeated use or is imbalanced in any way, it can lead to stagnation of the energy flow through your body. This can lead “dis-ease”. Everything is connected!
